Analysis of the Characteristics of Bio-Coal Briquettes from Agricultural and Coal Industry Waste

One of the options for reducing harmful emissions in production heat energy is use biomass, including combination with industrial waste (for instance, coal and coke dust). Recent studies demonstrate that a mix biomass makes it possible to obtain bio-coal briquette better characteristics, which motivating factor search alternative sources from local agricultural waste. The aim this research study properties briquettes (sunflower husks leaves) (coal raw material was grinded used 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70% biomass. size no more than 2 mm fine fraction 6 coarse fraction. were made mechanically using hydraulic press compression pressure 25 MPa without any binder. characteristics investigated briquettes, such as density, strength, moisture content, ash volatile yield, calorific value, ignition time, burning duration, rate, have good enough values. compared longer time (about threefold longer) lower rate. For all an increase composition dust results rise whereas rate falls. best terms value combustion parameters are following briquettes: sunflower husk 30% Karazhyra deposit; 60% 40% Shubarkul dust; 80% leaves 20% deposit. selected suitable source fuel.
